Zoran Krunic joined Amgen R&D in 2018 and since then have worked on applications of Machine Learning to modeling different patient outcomes and clinical trial enrollment based on Electronic Health Records and clinical trial data sets. Since 2019 he led the Quantum Machine Learning initiative in cooperation with the IBM Quantum research team, evaluating machine learning models in the quantum domain on IBM’s Qiskit platform and comparing them to classical machine learning models. Prior to Amgen he spent number of years at Optum, where he worked on creating Machine Learning applications to predict hardware and software failures in enterprise architecture. Prior to that he worked in data engineering, data warehousing and real-time systems development as a consultant for number of large companies – Capital Group, ARCO Petroleum, Southern California Gas company and PacifiCare. Zoran holds Master of Science in Electrical Engineering & Computer Science.
