The rapid advancements in Quantum Computing pose a significant threat to the traditional cryptographic foundation of modern finance, requiring secure alternatives like Quantum Key Distribution (QKD). This talk explores QKD’s potential to secure interbank communications. We discuss its technical principles, implementation challenges in large-scale financial systems, and integration with existing infrastructure, highlighting potentials used cases. The talk provides a scientific and practical perspective on leveraging QKD to enhance financial security in quantum era.
