David Van Zanten

Associate Scientist & Lead Quantum Measurements Fermilab

David van Zanten is an Associate Scientist at Fermilab, acting Deputy Head of the Quantum Testbed and Measurements Department of SQMS and Head of the Measurements Team.  His scientific work is focused on the system performance of superconducting QPU’s and the development of 3D cavity qubits. The Measurement Team he leads, supports and executes a broad scope of experiments in collaboration with the SQMS scientists at Fermilab. David completed his MSc. Applied physics in Delft and received his Ph.D. in Condensed matter physics from Université Grenoble Alpes. Before joining the SQMS team, he worked as a postdoctoral researcher at the Niels Bohr institute in Copenhagen
