Munich Quantum Valley (MQV) promotes quantum science and technologies in Bavaria and beyond. MQV is supported by the Hightech Agenda of the Bavarian state government. As a hub between research, industry, funders, and the public it is intended, among other things, to develop and operate competitive quantum computers in Bavaria. The Munich Quantum Valley e.V. was founded 27 January 2022 by the Bavarian Academy of Sciences and Humanities (BAdW), the Fraunhofer-Gesellschaft (FhG), the Friedrich-Alexander-Universität Erlangen-Nürnberg (FAU), the German Aerospace Center (DLR), the Ludwig-Maximilians-Universität München (LMU), the Max Planck Society (MPG), and the Technical University of Munich (TUM). Bavarian and national research institutions and universities with strong activities in quantum science and technologies are connected through MQV and participate in its activities. Based on the strength of its founding institutions and long-term institutional funding, MQV will play a key role in a national and European quantum strategy. https://www.munich-quantum-valley.de/.
