Masashi Hirose, Ph.D., is a co-founder and CEO of Nanofiber Quantum Technologies (NanoQT). He co-founded NanoQT in 2022, establishing Japan's first quantum computing hardware company. Under his leadership, NanoQT formed a team of over 10 top-notch scientists and advisors, raised more than $10 million in funding from venture capitalists in the US and Japan, and developed global operations in both countries. Before founding NanoQT, Masashi was a management consultant at McKinsey & Company for around seven years, serving top management in various industries such as high-tech, automotive, and banking. He holds a Ph.D. from Massachusetts Institute of Technologies, with research focused on quantum computation and quantum sensing, and has contributed to scientific journals including Nature.
