I scout and evaluate early-stage opportunities for AZ with an impact horizon of 5-10 years. These activities are usually delivered in partnership with academic institutions, start-ups or internal stakeholders. Before joining AstraZeneca, I was a Partner in the business development team at The Wellcome Trust and led Wellcome’s product development efforts in cholera and vaccine development for other diseases with global health relevance. I hold a PhD in immunology from the University of Cambridge and completed further postdoctoral training in areas relevant to cell therapy and tissue regeneration.
