Senior Policy Officer Eurosif

Hugo Gallagher joins Eurosif as Senior Policy Adviser in July 2021. He contributes to Eurosif’s extensive policy work and advocacy. He has over 5 years of experience operating in the public affairs and EU institutional arena in Brussels.    Prior to joining Eurosif, Hugo worked in two separate consultancies with a strong focus on financial services. Accordingly, Hugo has developed an in-depth knowledge of the regulatory and policy landscape in which financial institutions operate. In particular, he specialised in the EU’s Sustainable Finance agenda in addition to covering market structure and asset management topics.    Before entering public affairs, Hugo gained his initial experience in Brussels at the Codecision & Conciliations (CODE) unit of the European Parliament. Responsible for promoting Parliament’s legislative prerogatives in the context of Trialogues, his experience at the CODE unit has resulted in Hugo having an intimate knowledge of the EU’s often opaque legislative process.
