Head of Platform Lending and Senior Policy Advisor Innovate Finance

Mike Carter heads the P2P industry trade organisation, the 36H Group, part of Innovate Finance. A Chartered Accountant by training, he has spent much of his career at global banks as a Managing Director in Investment Banking where he advised major financial institutions on strategy and on capital raising across public and private debt and equity markets. Following the Financial Crisis he focused on advising Challenger Banks as they sought to fill the gaps left behind by the banks, including leading the first Challenger Bank IPO. Subsequently he has been an adviser to and angel investor in several early Alternative Finance platforms. As well as leading 36H Group, Mike is Executive Chair of The Money Platform, an early stage P2P lending platform.
