Director of Industry Relations Discover Global Network

Leigh leads the Industry Relations team at Discover Global Network, the team responsible for engagement with industry specification bodies and membership organisations globally. He joined the Industry Relations team in mid-2020 and has been leading the team since the beginning of 2021. During this time, Leigh has expanded participation at organisations in Digital Assets and particularly Open Banking, where Discover has a growing influence at the Financial Data Exchange (FDX), the leading US industry standards body for user-permissioned financial data sharing. Leigh joined Discover in 2013 to accelerate Contactless adoption across EMEA and over the next 7 years established and led the Product Delivery team in EMEA. Prior to joining Discover, Leigh had a 20-year career at card personalisation facilities in the UK, his last role leading key teams responsible for EMV card issuance, software development and information security.
