Cristian Cengher

Head of Payment Operations and Clearing Erste Group

Cristian Cengher is Romanian and has lived in Vienna since 2008. He has spent his whole career within Erste Group, first as Head of Process and Project Management team in BCR and, as of 2008, in Erste Group Bank. Since 2014, he has been with EGB in payments group steering area as Project manager and Payments Expert. As Head of Payment Operations and Clearing for Erste Group, Cristian's responsibilities include managing the implementation of change the bank projects, as well as representing the group within different payment-related working groups and committees. He is a member of Market Advisory Group of ECB Digital Euro initiative. Cristian represents the Austrian community with pride.
