Warning for exhibitors-Unofficial Contractors

Unfortunately there are many suppliers out there that data-scrape the FinTech Connect website and contact exhibitors posing as official contractors of FinTech Connect. These companies may even use FinTech Connect event branding and appear genuine. If in doubt please email info@fintechconnect.com for clarification.

Please note, FinTech Connect does not share or sell delegate lists. We have been informed that a company claiming to sell the FinTech Connect attendee list with contact information has reached out to several of our sponsors.

WE RECOMMEND THAT YOU DO NOT REPLY TO OR SPEAK WITH ANY ORGANIZATION CLAIMING TO SELL THE FINTECH CONNECT ATTENDEE LIST AND DO NOT SHARE YOUR CREDIT CARD INFORMATION.

The AEO (Association of Event Organisers) advises exhibitors who fall victim to this scam the following:

• IGNORE THEM COMPLETELY, and not communicate with them in any way. Writing letters simply confirms that you exist and are available at the address/email address/number they have for you, and therefore payment can be pursued.
• Report it to your local trading standards
• DO NOT PAY ANYTHING
• DO NOT COMMUNICATE WITH THE SCAMMERS even when they threaten legal action 
• Optional: Complain to the receiving bank that their client Expo Guide (or equivalent), is obtaining money by deception.
